Fingerprint reader on Samsung devices now allows users to log into Windows 10

Samsung’s Flow app recently got an update that allows users of Android devices to unlock and log in to a Windows 10 PC.

The update makes use of the fingerprint scanner found on Galaxy S6, S7 and S8 devices to authenticate the user as long as the device is linked to the PC.

To use this feature, Android Marshmallow or newer must be installed on the mentioned Galaxy phones. The Windows 10 OS Creators update is also a prerequisite to allow for fingerprint authentication using a Galaxy device.

The Flow app is meant to provide a seamless connected experience across various devices which includes tablets and desktop computers running on Windows 10.
