‘Rude’ Immigration Worker May Face Sanction

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) official identified as Carlo Salazar may face sanctions for his alleged rude treatment of one Roselle Carreon and her foreigner husband during a shouting incident at a Makati immigration office last March 24.

Salazar is the immigration supervisor who told Carreon to “shut up!” in the course of the discussion while the latter was trying to ask questions about her husband’s Alien Certificate of Registration ID card.
Carreon, who was identified as a teacher in a news website, recounted her sad experience with Salazar and expressed her disappointment with an article posted on her Facebook account titled “What should you do when a public servant asks you to “SHUT UP”: SPEAK UP!
After being humiliated in front of several other people in the room including foreigners, Carreon decided to seek a higher official to file a complaint against the man but, after a runaround treatment, was ultimately pointed to the same guy who shouted at them, Salazar himself, who turned out to be the office supervisor.
Refusing to give up and determined to get justice, Carreon decided to contact the Civil Service Commission, and after which, posted her story on Facebook that has since gone viral.
