PHL Sets Longest Basketball Game

The Philippines has set a new Guinness world record for the longest basketball game.
The contest, which was held in the Meralco Gym in Pasig City, clocked 120 hours, one minute and 7.8 seconds – eight hours more than the previous record set by the United States in 2012.
Two teams with 12 players each, played basketball beginning Monday, March 24, at 7 a.m. all the way until 9 a.m. Saturday, March 29.
They also broke the previous Guinness highest score of 11,806 on Thursday midnight, and reached 120 hours of playing time at 1 a.m. of Saturday.
