Every year, the Philippines have a bulge in the population that enters the labor force. With these, there is still a number who find it hard to land jobs while there are still some unfilled jobs. The Department of Labor and Employment points to job mismatch as the culprit. Most kids who enroll for tertiary education choose courses which they think are popular or will give them an opportunity to land jobs especially abroad. Sometimes, by the time they graduate, such demand has already waned. But there are also some jobs which may not be popular, but could offer a chance to generate more than modest income.
