Last Wednesday, NBI releases the CCTV footage of the condominium where Vhong Navarro was beaten by a group of men led by Cedric Lee.
NBI presented the footage from the CCTV cameras of the condominium's main gate, lobby and elevator. But before presenting it, the NBI noted that the time stamp at the elevator's CCTV was not synchronized with the time at the lobby's CCTV because it was 40 minutes late compared to the real time at the lobby's CCTV.
If we remember Lee's interview, he insisted that when he went to Cornejo's unit, the door was unlocked and heard Cornejo was shouting and saw Navarro on top of her but the footage shows otherwise.
Lee and Cornejo's statement that Navarro attempted to raped her was clearly impossible.
When Cornejo was interviewed again about what happened, she changed her statement from attempted rape to rape.
Wrong move. How could the attempted rape can be considered as rape? If we define rape, rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving SEXUAL INTERCOURSE, which is initiated by one or more persons against another person without that person's consent. And how could Navarro raped Cornejo if she walked out after Navarro entered her unit?
In the news, Cornejo and Lee's group was planning to leave the country. But their lawyer bet his licence and assured that his client will never leave the country.
Poor lawyer.
Let's see what will happen in the trial.
God bless!
